So let me tell you a little bit about what you can expect when you come and book me for a corporate headshot.
There's two types of corporate headshots - one is a studio where you can either come to me or I can set up my little studio either at your offices or at your home. So let's talk about the studio shoot first. What you can expect is come along for the day we'll meet up have a cup of coffee maybe talk through some of the types of images you may have seen elsewhere that you'd perhaps like to follow the style of, and then we'll go into the studio and take a couple of pictures.
What we'll invariably do is we'll do some perhaps from the left and some from the right and then we'll find out which side you prefer. Most people have a dominant side. I don't know which mine is, probably I'd say the left side! Once we do that then we know which way we're going forward and then we'll do a load of images around that. It's really relaxed, there's really nothing to worry about and of course the beauty with doing something like this in the digital age is that straight away we can look at the pictures on the back of the camera and say 'I like that', 'I don't like that', 'that's good let's do a few more along those lines'.
The other thing is to bring along a change of clothes, bring extra jackets scarves, whatever it is you want so we've got a variety of styles that we can use. Lots of people come along and they'll say well we need one for the business website so maybe a suit or whatever and then they'll change into a more relaxed shirt or something and then they can be used on social media or whatever like that - so that gives us a bit more scope to play with a couple of things.
Just in preparation for your corporate photoshoot obviously you want to look your best so, you know, get a haircut you know bring some makeup with you if you need it and as I said you know bring some nice clothes that are going to make you feel good and make you feel relaxed and comfortable as well.
So that's what happens in a studio shoot. Now quite often I get asked by people to come and photograph them on location. Perhaps if you are let's say for example you're a vet or you are a GP or you're a builder it could be that you need images in in the location where you work and that will help people viewing the images to give you some settings as to what you do.
These tend to be more relaxed. I think people tend to be happier in those environments. Most people are not that comfortable with a studio setting and lights flashing and everything else. It's very different. The location shoots can work out quite well. Invariably we can take the location shoots and we can do them in a coffee shop or we can hire a room where we can do stuff perhaps like a boardroom setting so there's lots of different ways we can do it and the main thing is we'll give you a huge variety of images that you can use across your website, social media or whatever you need.
