How do you photograph a Factory?

The brief was easy - a cardboard box manufacturer in Buckinghamshire wanted new imagery to compliment its new website.

As ever the devil is in the detail with commercial photography and Luke, the commercial director and myself were very keen on showing the manufacturing process, but just enough to tease. 'Curious making' was the watch word.

What I didn't expect is that the manufacturing process is wonderfully old school. The boxes are cut, folded and printed using old and yet at times really intricate technology.

And this made the job a real pleasure. Old, oily, noisy machines - what's not to love.

As you'd expect the process is very fast, very repetitious and produces some lovely symmetry which always makes for great imagery.

Luke Jamieson, Commercial Director, Aylesbury Box Co:

'After a couple of failed amateur attempts to photograph our factory and our products, Adam was recommended to us. He was able to take our marketing brief and put together a set of images that complimented all the messages we wanted to put across. Adam was timely, flexible and our staff enjoyed working with him. We are thrilled with how fast he put a pack of photos together for us and we use them for our website and a range of other marketing activities. Photography has added a new dimension to how we portray ourselves. I thoroughly recommend his services.'
