PICTURES OF THE YEAR 2022

…and a few from 2021!

Well, where do we start. It’s been a strange few years what with COVID, lockdown, no work, then some work, then ALL the work then back to lockdown…and now maybe a return to normality.

Nonethless it’s been another really enjoyable few years with lots of new opportunities to accompany all the regular work from the likes of Berkhamsted School, Monkey Puzzle Day Nurseries, Lennons Solicitors and Tring Park School.

Another thing that has taken me by surprise this year is the sheer volume of video work I’ve undertaken - keep an eye out for the new showreel, coming soon!

Anyway I hope you enjoy this selection of photos from 2022 and 2021.

Elizabeth Huzzey is an osteopath, acupuncturist, educator and researcher. She is also one of the country’s leading experts in treating headaches. She invited me to her Berkhamsted treatment rooms to produce some more relaxed images for her website.

Another image from Exclusive Networks golf day back in 2021. Look closely and you can see the head of the club on the edge of the green and the golf ball on the far right edge of the photo. Needless to say this guy was delighted with this image!

The Premier League trophy made a brief appearance at Berkhamsted Prep School where the children could look at (but not touch!) all the names of the previous winners on the base of this sought-after trophy.

I’ve been working with homeless charity DENS a fair bit over the past year. Pictured here is a former service user along with his dog, highlighting that DENS is dog-friendly!

Another DENS image. This from the silent disco ahead of the charity’s annual sleep out which took place on a very cold (but dry) November evening in Hemel Hempstead.

Counsellor and therapist Diana Parkinson commissioned me to provide a series of images for her new website.

Rabbi Neil Janes turning on the first candle of Hannakah at Waddesdon Manor.

Steely Dan tribute band Stanley Dee needed some new imagery for their website and invited me to shoot one of their shows which was absolutely amazing. If you get the chance do go and see them!

David Bogle, chairman of Homes for Cathy with Lord Bob Kerslake at the Homes for Cathy conference in London.

A day’s shoot with International Platforms was a whole load of fun and gave me the opportunity to not only fly the drone but also shoot from a very high perspective!

Best selling author Paul Dix invited me to his home to take some images for his new book, After the Adults Change.

Not the sort of thing that happens everyday - the Proclamation of King Charles by Tring Town Mayor, Cllr Christopher Townsend.

Portraits of people in their environment - work or home - is one of the things I love most. Looking cool is Sandro Mosquera, managing director of GIF Products.

In itself, these two images are not terribly interesting apart from them being taken at the highest point on top of the tallest building on Richmond Hill. I was commissioned to shoot a series of before and after photos by a property development company. I wonder if anyone has taken a photo from this point before?

Kerry-Anne Cooper of Liberty Tea Rooms and Community Hub in Hemel Hempstead.

I have the pleasure of shooting marketing imagery for a number of local schools. This was taken at the wonderful Tring Park School for the Performing Arts during their Founders Day.

I’ve worked with Lennons Solicitors for quite a few years and they’re always keen to reflect a more ‘human’ approach to the work they do by encouraging their staff to be photographed doing the things they enjoy. Gavin loves cooking so treated me to a barbecue which is where this out-take came from. Rest assured no food was destroyed during this shoot with the lighter fluid just out of shot!

Photographing the photo. Taken at a press conference at the University of Northampton.

Send him off! Another wonderful moment at the Exclusive Networks Football tournament.

It’s always magical doing a shoot at Waddesdon Manor and last year they commissioned me to do a series of shoots promoting their (amazing) food offerings.

A queue of fans waiting to meet TV presenters Jasmine Harmin and Jean Johansson at the Place in the Sun Live event in London.

An out-take from a corporate headshot.

Portrait commissioned by Hightown Housing Association.

One of the highlights of the year was being asked to photograph the rehearsal and performance of the Aylesbury Vale Concert Orchestra at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury.

One of a series of shots promoting the new Tring Sports Centre.
